Type Hindi in Android Phones via Transliteration, Keyboard

New Delhi, 12 March 2013: Google has announced Hindi Input on Android mobile phones and tablets. The application  which is available on Google Play will offer Devanagari script in two ways as detailed in the Google India Blog.

Hindi words can be created by typing the word in English in  transliteration mode, the app will automatically convert the word to Devanagari script


Typing using a full Devanagari script keyboard, with Hindi consonants ordered alphabetically on two pages.

Google claims that  Google Hindi Input is the quickest and easiest way to compose emails, send messages and post on social networks using Devanagari script.
