Indian All-rounder Abhishek Nayar equalled the world record for bowling the longest over in first class cricket when he bowled 17 deliveries in the Deodhar Trophy semi-final match against South Zone.
Abhishek Nayar in his 17 ball over which included 10 wides and one no-ball conceded a total of 13 runs and a wicket. Surprisingly all this occurred after he took a wicket in the first ball of the over.
Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Sami holds the record in ODIs, with his famous 17-ball over against Bangladesh in an Asia Cup match in 2004.
Nayar was brought by Pune Warriors for Rs 3.5 crore in the IPL auction in February 2013.
