 Chennai, 5 February: Vishwaroopam, the controversial film by Kamal Haasan will be released on February 7 after Tamil Nadu government  withdrew petition from the High Court. Earlier Madras High Court had banned the Tamil version of the film in Tamil Nadu. The ban has been lifted after Kamal Haasan  agreed to edit or mute the objectionable scenes from the film.

The Hindi version of the movie "Vishwaroop" was released on February 1 and has grossed approximately Rs.7.66 crore in its opening weekend which is considered good for a dubbed film.  The multilingual thrille is made at Rs.95 crore.
