Mo Yan wins Nobel Prize for Literature 2012

New Delhi, 13 October 2012: Chinese writer Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Mo aged 57 is the author of world famous novels like 'Red Sorghum', 'Big Breassts and Wide Hips' etc.

The Nobel Prize Academy conferred the award describing Mo as someone who, with "hallucinatory realism merges folk tales, history and the contemporary".

This is the first time, a Chinese author gets Nobel Prize for Literature.
