London, 12 August 2012: India's Yogeshwar Dutt won the bronze medal at the London Olympics in the men's freestyle 60kg repechage. He defeated North Korea's Myong Ri Jong 7-1 in the play off match for the bronze medal.
Dutt was given entry to the repechage round after being beaten by Russia's Besik Kudukhovis who entered into the finals. In the repechage round he defeated Franklin gomez of Peurto Rico 3-0 and Masoud Esmmaeilpoorjoubari of Iran 4-0.
Yogeshwar Dutt has earlier won gold medals in the Asian games and the Commonwealth games 2010.
With this win, the Indian medal tally rose to five medals with one silver and four bronze medals, the highest ever in any Olympics.
