Mumbai, 8 July 2012: Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has decided to nominate cricketers Rahul Dravid for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award and Yuvraj Singh for the Arjuna award.
Rahul Dravid, who is regarded as one of India's best test batsman retired from cricket last year after scoring 23,000 runs in a span of 15 years in Tests and ODIs. Yuvraj Singh who was selected as the Player of the Tournament in India's second world cup win in 2011 has returned to cricket after battling with cancer for the last one year. Both players have huge chances to achieve the award to be announced later this year.
Rahul Dravid if wins the Khel Ratna award, will be the third cricketer to achieve this fete, followed by Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni
