Penguin Books launches e-books in India

New Delhi, 20 July 2012: Penguin Books India has launched a set of 240 e-books online. The company claims the launch to be the first extensive list of Indian ebooks to be published internationally by an Indian publisher.  The e-books will be available for purchase at all major e-book retailers like Amazon, Apple, Kobo and Google, Gardners, Sony, OLF, Apabi, Go Spoken/Mobcast, OverDrive, Txtr, Ebooks.com, IGroup and Baker and Taylor etc.

The company has also released the cross-platform app for smartphones Apple, Android, Blackberry and Nokia.
