Anonymous India plans "Occupy" protest on June 9

New Delhi, 30 May 2012: Anonymous India, a group of activists who indulge in hacking websites, plans to conduct a "Occupy" protest on June 9, 2012 all over India. The group's protest is against the Indian government's alleged censorship in the internet and ban on file sharing websites.

The group is widely using the social media to popularise its protest activity "Occupy" which will be held on various Indian cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Indore, Kolkata, Bangalore, Kochi and Calicut. Twitter accounts Anonymous India (@AnonDDos) and Operation India (@opindia_back) urges tweeples to participate in the event and use the hashtag #opIndia to support them. The group also asks the protestors to wear "Guy Fawkes" masks and use non-violent methods on June 9 to protest against internet censorship.
