Piaggio Vespa re-enters India; launches Vespa LX 125

New Delhi, April 28, 2012:  Vespa, leading scooter manufacturer of Europe has re-entered the Indian market with its popular gearless model Vespa LX 125.  This time Vespa scooters is introduced in India under the brand of Piaggio, its original Italian manufacturer.

The Vespa LX 125 is available at Rs 66,661 which is at premium compared to other models by Honda, Suzuki and Mahindra.

The company has set up a 150,000 units per annum capacity at Baramati, Maharashtra and 50 new dealerships spread across 35
