LTTE Cheif Prabhakaran’s son’s assassination video in Channel 4 Documentary

New Delhi, 13 March 2012: A video clip for a Channel 4 documentary titled 'Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields: War Crimes Unpublished' showing the death of the son of Veluppillai Prabhakaran, the LTTE leader who was killed  has created protest. The video footage believed to be recorded during the Sri Lankan army action shows the twelve year old son of Veluppillai Prabhakaran lying on the floor with his body stripped to the waist and with five bullet holes to the chest. As per reports, the boy is believed to be executed in cold blood.

The footage dating from May 18, 2009 will be broadcast on Wednesday in a Channel 4. However the documentary made by  Callum Macrae has not been authenticated. The first part of the film which was broadcasted earlier showed  large-scale shelling of civilians and human rights violations that led to instant damning of the country.

In a latest revelation, it is also said that the LTTE chief Veluppillai Prabhakaran was killed by the Sri Lankan army after being surrendered.
