ESPNcricinfo Awards 2012 - Sachin best batsman, Doug Bracewell bowler



New Delhi, 21 February 2012: Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has won the Test batting and bowling awards in the fifth annual ESPNcricinfo Awards 2012.

Sachin won the award for his innings which he scored 146 in Capetown against South Africa.  New Zealander Doug Bracewell won the best bowling awards for his performance of 6 for 40 against Australia.

In the ODI segment Irish player Kevin O'Brien won the batting award for his century knock in the world cup against England. Mitchell Johnson won the

best bowling performance award for his six wicket perfomance against Sri Lanka in Pallekele.

The awards were decided by a 16-member jury that included former players Ian Chappell, Ian Bishop, Ramiz Raja, Kepler Wessels, Geoff Boycott, Martin

Crowe, Sanjay Manjrekar and Russel Arnold, and ESPNcricinfo's senior writers. Previous winners have included Virender Sehwag (twice), Dale Steyn, Shahid

Afridi and Kumar Sangakkara.

ESPN Cricinfo also published the winners of the Statsguru Awards which is based purely on the statistical performances of the players.  The various

HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF RUNS IN BOUNDARIES
