Sensex, Nifty at 2 year low

Mumbai, 16 December 2011: Indian stock indices Nifty and Sensex stumbled to two year low when Sensex tumbled 345 points to close at 15,491.4 and Nifty lost 92 points to close at 4,651.60.

Eventhough the exchanges started good in the morning with gains of more than 150 points in Sensex it lost all those in the second half of the trade.

As per experts the shares plunged after the announcement of Reserve Bank of India announcing that the Cash Reserve Ration (CRR) will remain unchanged.

Reliance Industries, L&T, SBI, BHEL, Coal India, DLF, ICICI Bank, TCS, TATA Steel were the main loosers today.
