Google India's Top Searched People, Movies, Terms, Events in 2011


Hyderabad, 16 December 2011: Google has announced the top searches of 2011 in India. The Google annual Zeitgeist List for India showcases what Indians searched in Google this year.

As per the data, the top search for the year 2011 is lead by Facebook, followed by Youtube and Gmail.

The fastest rising searches is lead by Facebook itself and followed by  IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection)  and Google+

The fastest rising people list is lead by none other than Anna Hazare, joined by Poonam Pandey and Steve Jobs.

The top searched people list is lead by Katrina Kaif as usual followed by Anna Hazare and Salman Khan.

The top searched movies include Bodyguard and Ra. One.

The top searched events/news include IPL, World Cup 2011 etc.
