Ajit Singh, Cabinet Minister of Civil Aviation India

New Delhi, 18 December 2011: Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Ajit Singh has sworn in as the union minister of Civil Aviation. The President of India administered the oath of office and secrecy to Shri Ajit Singh at a ceremony held in the Rashtrapati Bhavan. This is the fourth time Ajit Singh becomes a Union minister He was initially a member of the cabinet led by VP Singh in 1980. He later became the minister for Food in the Narasimha Rao government in 1996, and also the Agriculture minister in the NDA cabinet during 2001. Ajit Singh aged 72 is a Member of parliament from Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh.
