Benetton Clothing UNHATE Ad Campaign hits Controversy

New Delhi, November 17, 2011: Benetton Clothing group which launched an ad campaign under the title UNHATE with world leaders photos kissing against each other has withdrawn some images after drawing protest.

Associated Press has reported that Benetton has withdrawn the controversial poster of Pope Benedict XVI with Ahmed al-Tayeb, Sheikh of the Al-Azzhar mosque, Cairo, Egypt lip-locking with each other.

The UNHATE communication project launched by Benetton Group includes a series of coordinated initiatives and events, in the main newspapers, periodicals and websites around the world which focuses on the central theme "Kiss". The ad campaign features leaders like Barack Obama, Nicolas Sarkozy, Angela Merkel, Pope Benedictus XVI etc.The group has also launched a website at http://www.unhatefoundation.org/
