4G Services in India during 2012


Bangalore, 6 November 2011: India will launch the latest 4G services in communication during the second half of 2012, said Telecom minister Kapil Sibal.

4G or the fourth generation of mobile/wireless technology offers higher speeds in connectivity which enables ultra broadband internet access, IP telephony, online mobile gaming, streamed high speed multimedia.  4G technolgies include mobile Wimax, HSPA+ etc. 4G offers around  100 Mbits/second  - 1Gbit/second speed for communication. Practically 4G is expected to be four times more faster than 3G.
