New Delhi, 15 October 2011: India crushed England by 126 runs victory in the first one day international match of the series held at Hyderabad.
India scored 300 for 7 in 50 overs with an unbeaten 87 by MS Dhoni, supported by Suresh Raina 61, Virat Kohli 37 and Gautam Gambir 32.
England could only manage 174 all out in 36.1 overs with opener AN Cook as their top scorer 60.
Ravindra Jadeja and R Aswin were the pick of the Indian bowlers with three wickets each. Indian captain MS Dhoni was selected as the man of the match.

The first three overs of the match was not telecasted over television due to a dispute in the Television rights and was resumed lated. Neo Sports and Doordarshan owns the right for live telecasting the series in India.
