Fobes List of 100 powerful women in the world


New Delhi, 25 August 2011: Forbes magazine has published the list of 100 powerful women in the world http://www.forbes.com/wealth/power-women. Congress president Sonia Gandhi is ranked as the seventh powerful woman in the world. Indian-American Indra Nooyi, the head of soft drink giant PepsiCo, has been ranked fourth.

The list is topped by German chancellor Angela Mayor, followed by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Other powerful women in the list include Sheryl Sandberg (Facebook COO), Melinda Gates (Cofounder, Cochair, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), Michelle Obama (First lady of the US) etc. The list features politicians, CEOs, bankers, cultural icons, billionaires and entrepreneurs.
