Sheeja Mathews, first woman in India to own a Harley-Davidson

BANGALORE, 6 July 2011: Sheeja Mathews from Bangalore has become the first woman in India to own a Harley-Davidson super bike.

Sheeja aged 34, working as a HR professional with an MNC in Bangalore has been delivered a Harley-Davidson; Iron 863' model, costing Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom).



She is not new to ride bigger bikes, for the past 10 years, she has been riding her husband's Yamaha Rajdoot 350 to her workplace. She also drives a Tata Safari and a Chevrolet Cruze.

Sheeja Mathews hails from Kottayam, Kerala and is the wife of Sanjay Joseph, Civil Engineer in Bangalore.
