'Mahatma Gandhi's face' spotted in Mars planet by Mars Orbiter satellite

New Delhi, 13 June 2011: The face of Mahatma Gandhi, father of the nation has been spotted in a rock seen at the planet Mars, reports Daily Mail.

Matteo Lanneo, an Italian space enthusiast while scanning the photographs sent by Mars Orbiter satellite has spotted a human face resembling Mahatma Gandhi. The photograph of the image has been released by some websites.



A similar image was surfaced during 1976 when Viking Orbiter took a photograph ofa hill in Mars. The image which resembled a human face was later found out to be a dusty surface.

The current image of human face resembling Mahatma Gandhi is also expected to be the art of light and shadow along with rocky particles in the surface of Mars.
