New Delhi, 5 June 2011: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev fasting against corruption and black money at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi came to an end when the police abruptly stopped the satyagraha and detained him yesterday midnight.

Here are the list of events on the eve of Baba Ramdev's arrest

June 3, 2011: Last Minute talks between Baba Ramdev and union ministers of the UPA Kapil Sibal and Subodh Kant Sahay. Baba Ramdev announces that he will go on with the fast.

June 4, 2011 (Morning) Fast starts at early morning at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi which progresses with yoga sessions and bhajans.

June 4, 2011 (Evening) Government makes a letter public from Baba Ramdev which says that the fast will be called off at mid-day if government honoured the commitments.

June 5, 2011 (Early Morning) Police swoops down on Baba Ramdev's hunger strike venue, detains him after firing tear gas shells and resorting to lathicharge

Baba Ramdev was detained as he was leaving the site.
