Shahid Afridi announces retirement from International Cricket

Shahid Afridi, former captain of Pakistan has announced retirement from international scenario protesting the action of the Pakistan Cricket Board in removing him from captaincy.

Afridi who felt humiliated by the treatment of Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that he will not play under this board, and will return to cricket if a different board comes.



Afridi was removed from the role of the Pakistan cricket team captain after the victorious series against West Indies.

Afridi has played 27 tests, 325 ODIs and 43 T20s for Pakistan. Afridi holds the record for the fastest ODI century (from 37 balls). He is aged 31.
