Duncan Fletcher appointed as Indian cricket team coach

Duncan Fletcher, the former Zimbabwe captain has been appointed as World Champion Indian cricket teams coach by the BCCI.

Fletcher who has been coaching England earlier has been given a two year contract. England team under Fletcher has won the Ashes in 2005 for the first time since 1986-87 against Australia.

He was worked as coaching consultant for South Africa and New Zealand earlier. Duncan Fletcher succeeds Gary Kirsten, who trained the Indian cricket team to win the World cup in 2011, after 28 years.
