Tata Group, Top rated Indian brand 2011

Tata Group, has become the first Indian brand to be listed in the top 500 global companies list by Brand Finance.

The global ranking of top companies is done annually by international brand consultancy Brand Finance.

Google is the most valuable brand in the world ($44.3bn), edging Microsoft
($42.8bn) into second place. Coca-Cola drops out of the top ten for the first time ($25.8bn). Internet giant Facebook was listed for the first time at 285
th place.

American brands constitute 13 of the top 20 and 26 from the top 500.



Apart from Tata the other Indian companies present in the top 500 are Reliance, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Bharat Petroelum, Infosys, Indian Oil, Bharti Airtel and Wipro.

Indian Oil, Bharti Airtel and Wipro were new entrants to the list.
