Jana Gana Mana, India's National Anthem should not be used as a Caller Tune: DOT


The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) India has directed mobile service providers and value added software companies not to offer the national anthem as a caller tune.

According to the directive providing 'Jana Gana Mana' the Indian national anthem as caller tune is a a violation of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.
