Bajrang Lal Takhar wins India's 2nd Gold in Asian Games and the first Indian rower

Bajrang Lal Takhar Indian participant in rowing became the first ever Indian rower to win a gold medal in the Guangzhou Asian Games 2010.

Bajrang Lal Takhar won the 2000m men's singles sculls rowing competition. He finished with the time of 7:04.78.

Wang Ming Hui (7:07.33) of Chinese Taipei's won the silver medal whereas Haeider Hamarasheid (7:10.10) of Iraq won the bronze.

Takhar medal is India's second gold in the competition. Earlier Pankaj Advani won gold medal in the billiards competition.
