Tata DoCoMO 3G services for Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Haryana

Tata DoCoMO will become the first private mobile service provider to launch the 3G services in India.

Tata Docomo will launch 3G services offering internet, videoconferencing, Mobile Tv etc and is expected to be rolled out during the Diwali season.

Tata Docomo has secured 3G licences in the circles of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (West), Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh states.

BSNL and MTNL is the only service which has been providing 3G for customers till now.

Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications, Vodafone Essar are the other private providers who secured the license for the 3G services in India.

Tata teleservices partners with Japan's DOCOMO for GSM services. Tata teleservices also offers CDMA services under the brand name Tata Indicom. Tata has also partnered with Virgin Mobile for a collaborated mobile phone services.
