Match fixing scandal hits Indian Premier League IPL?

According to a report in The Australian daily quoting two unnamed IPL officials, "a leading batsman had played so suspiciously that they could not explain his behaviour."

The team found the player's performances puzzling, particularly scoring slowly towards the end of an innings and had to change his batting order.

However the player has not been named.

For the last two weeks the cricketing world is filled with the news about the spot fixing scandal from the Pakistani players, now the much money spinning Indian Premier league IPL is going to be hit. It is interesting to note that the last edition of the IPL did not involve any one of the Pakistan players too.
