YMCA unveils new logo, name and brand image

The YMCA—a leading national nonprofit— will, for the first time in 43 years, unveil a new brand strategy and identity as part of its effort to further community impact.

YMCA will be now branded as just Y. The change in the name comes to be youth friendly and be technologically more acceptable.

The Y will also release new, national data that will shed light on the most pressing issues and challenges facing communities today.

The Youth Men's Christian Association is a worldwide movement of more than 45 million members from 124 national federations, Founded on June 6, 1844. YMCAs are open to all, regardless of faith, social class, age, or gender.
