Virat Kohli, Indian to get Fastest 1000 runs in ODI Career

Virat Kohli, Indian batsman and former India youth team captain became the Indian player to score first 1000 runs in minimum innings in One Day Internationals.

Virat Kohli reached 1000 runs in ODI career with the 68 he scored in the match against Sri Lanka in the Tri-nations cup at Zimbabwe. He reached 1000 runs from 24 innings (27 matches).

Kohli overtook the previous record by Navjot Singh Sidhu who got in to 1000 runs from 25 innings (27 matches).

Vivian Richards top the chart for the fastest 1000 runs in international ODIs with 21 innings, followed by Kevin Pietersen and G. Greenidge.
