Nokia C2, C1 First Dual sim phones from Nokia announced

Nokia has announced four new basic phones in the C series C2, C1-00, C1-01, C1-02. After a long wait from Nokia two of these phones are dual sim phones, which makes them the first dual sim phones from Nokia.

Nokia has also announced a bicycle mobile charger which charges the mobile using the dynamo of a bicycle.

Nokia C2
The Nokia C2 is a candybar phone which can handle two SIM cardsa at a time. Both sims can receive and make calls using the swap button available in the phone. The phone offers 16.5 days of standby time, and 4 hours of talk time. The phone features 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, microSD card slot, VGA camera, and GPRS support. The phone is priced around 2500 Rs. (45 EUR)

Nokia C1-00
The Nokia C1-00 is also a dual sim phone, but the two sim cards are not active at a time. You need to switch to the necessary sim while making or receiving calls.
The phone has dimensions 107.1 mm x 45 mm x 15 mm, weighing 72.9 grams. The phone features dual band (900/1800 MHz), a 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM radio, flashlight. The phone has an impressive battery life of 48 days on standby and has 13 hours of talk time. The phone will be available for 1800 Rs. (30 EUR)

Nokia C1-01
C1-01 is another candybar entry level phone with a single sim feature. It offers Bluetooth, microUSB support, VGA camera, 3.5 mm jack, Size: 108 mm x 45 mm x 14 mm, weight: 78.7 grams, battery: 21 days standby, 10.6 hours talk time. The phone will be available for Rs. 2250 (39 EUR)

Nokia C1-02
C1-02 offers Bluetooth, microUSB support, 3.5 mm jack, Size: 108 mm x 45 mm x 14 mm, weight: 78.7 grams, battery: 21 days standby, 10.6 hours talk time. The phone lacks camera. The C1-02 will be available for Rs. 2000 (35 EUR).

Nokia was facing stiff competiton from lowcost handset makers from China and India which provided features like dual sim, camera, touch, 3.5mm audio, stero speakers for a very low price. The introduction of the new models is a direct step to recapture the low cost market with Nokia branding and features.
