The Taj and the Oberoi Trident Hotels will open on Sunday after the terror attacks which hit them last month. Taj will open to public on 7.30pm on Sunday, The Tower wing of the hotel will reopen, and 268 rooms will be made available.
The Oberoi group's Trident hotel will open on Sunday as well. The shopping arcade was opened to the public last week, although construction work has been going on.
The Trident hotel, upon reopening announced that it would not entertain any Pakistani national in its luxury establishment.
All guests of other countries would be allowed in the hotel.

Trident President Rattan Keswani said in a statement that "There are some reports in the media that Pakistani nationals are not allowed at hotels. We have not received a notification to that effect from the government of India," . Guests of all nationalities are welcome at our hotels.

Microsoft has issued a patch to fix its web browser Internet Explorer which was reported to be vulnerable to certain viruses.
The security flaw has been noticed only in IE7 but IE 6 and IE 8 beta may be also affected.
The patch has been released due to the malicious activity of the AZN Trojan virus which is seen associated with the Internet explorer and works by stealing passwords.
Microsoft will sent the patch as automatic updates soon, however for those who have turned automatic updates off should download the patch from the company's website.

US Surgeons has replaced 80 percent of a womans face, which is considered as world's first complete facial Transplant.
Cleveland Clinic in the US became the first hospital in the US and fourth in the world to perform such a surgery.
Dr.Maria Siemionow alond with the team of seven doctors completed the surgery taking 22 hours.
The transplant was done using the face of a deceased female donor, with the nose, lower eyelid, teeth, upper eyelid etc was replaced.
The identity of the donor and the receiver is not revealed.

In order to boost the acquisition and usage of Broadband among government employees, BNSL has approved 20% discount on Broadband Service charges (usage and rental) for Broadband connections provided to Central Government/ State Government/ PSU Employees category. The scheme is to be launched from 1st December 2008 across BSNL network and is a continuous scheme.
The serving and retired government employees applying for Broadband connection under this scheme, should furnish an undertaking countersigned by their Drawing and Disbursing Officer regarding their bonafide along with the application. In case of retired employees, an attested copy of the Pension Pay Order should be submitted along with the application. The application should be marked as “FOR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES SCHEME”.
The scheme is also applicable to existing Broadband customers who are serving/retired government employees subject to their furnishing an undertaking as detailed above. The bag company Pardon's owner Peter Mertes says that it has withdrawn the bags from market.
The original print of the picture taken by Swiss-born fashion photographer Michel Comte fetched $91,000 at an auction this year.

Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari has declared Bangalore the "nano city of India" after the Karnataka government announced it would take measures to encourage research and development in nanoscience and facilitate development of the nanotechnology industry in the state.
